Colorado travel – What to do and eat!
Saint Mary’s Glacier – I’ve done this hike a few times, and for my Florida lungs, it does take a little toll. Everyone parks in a dirt parking lot, with porter potties if you need – also where the parking permits are collected. Not your typical way of obtaining a parking permit. There’s a green box located next to the porter potties, where you pick up a slip, write down your license plate number, place $5 cash into the envelope, seal, and place it into the slit of the box below. The other half of the slip, you rip off and place in your car. For the first part of the hike, it is a continuous uphill battle (again for my Florida lungs). I also wasn’t in my best shape. But man oh man, are there SO many doggies!! Once we got to the melting glacier, which is a beautiful body of water, there is plenty of places to continue exploring or sit, relax, and eat a snack!

Rocky Mountain National Park – A friend of ours recommended Estes Park (East entrance). I had also read about it in a few blogs while researching what to do in the Rocky Mountain National Park. When I was looking up different Air BnB’s, I wanted to stay closer to the mountains.
